Meet Kelly Crandall
Hello, my name is Kelly Crandall. I first became aware of the Bee Sisterhood while I was taking a Frame Drum course from Dede Alder. I thank the ancient call of the drum for leading me to this wonderful, vibrant and creative community of women.
Hum
To my delight, the Hum oracle card I painted showcases the frame drum being played by my daughter, Bella. The energy of Hum flowed in hot and fast and the painting was completed very quickly. I don’t know about you, but to me the etheric nature, liquid light of the drum and the buzzing quality around the player and drum evoke a very deep and sensual inner listening experience. Imagine feeling and hearing the hum of a honeycomb frame drum! And of course the aroma of honey swirling all around you! Yum, Hum…
The Mating Flight
The Mating Flight oracle painting brought a healing to my heart. In the same week as I was creating this piece, my 13 year old dog Sparkle flew onto her future. The grief was overwhelming. I remember a particular moment when I looked out of the window and saw the pink roses on her grave blooming. I let the tears drip down my face and drop into the turquoise paint. Each turquoise stroke made me feel lighter and brighter and pretty soon I found myself in a state of gratitude for having had Sparkle been in my life. The meaning behind Mating Flight, risk and reward and Sparkles turquoise messages to me will always be embedded into the energy of this piece.
A little bit about me. I have a degree in Art Education and I am a certified Intentional Creativity teacher living in Houghton Lake, Mi with my family and two dogs. In the above photo I am holding Bindi, our newest puppy. More than anything, Intentional Creativity has opened my creative and intuitive senses by providing me with a jumping off point into the unknown. Tapping into the subconscious with deep listening and trusting the inner vision can be very healthy and rewarding. If you feel called to connect with me or work with me I can be found on Facebook, Kelly Crandall and online at kellycrandall.art
May the colors of creativity always surround you,
Kelly Crandall
